At Years, we brew real beer.


Our process starts with tradition: for our German-style beers, we follow the German Beer Purity Law, using only water, hops, barley, and yeast; for our Belgian-style Wit, we draw on time-tested Belgian techniques that showcase citrus and spice.

What makes Years different?

Instead of removing alcohol after the fact, our brewers are able to craft each style so that it naturally finishes under 0.5% ABV. That means the flavor, body, and balance of our beers stay intact from the very first sip—nothing is stripped away, and nothing feels like a compromise.

The result is non-alcoholic beer that drinks like the real thing: crisp, refreshing, and endlessly drinkable. By staying true to tradition while innovating where it matters, we’re building a modern classic—beer brewed the right way, without the alcohol.


Our Process

How We Brew Years

  1. Milling & Mashing

    Milling & Mashing

    We start with quality malted barley and specialty grains, just like traditional breweries. These are milled and mashed to unlock natural sugars, which form the backbone of flavor in every batch.

  2. The Boil & The Hops
    Stage 2

    The Boil & The Hops

    Next, the wort is boiled, and we add carefully selected hops — from noble varieties for crisp lagers to bright, citrusy hops for our pale ales and zesty, spice-forward hops for our Belgian Wits. This step builds depth, balance, and the signature bitterness and aroma you expect in a great beer.

  3. Fermentation with Purpose

    Fermentation with Purpose

    Here’s where our process takes a different path. Instead of brewing a full-strength beer and then stripping out the alcohol, we use a maltose-negative yeast strain. This unique yeast can’t ferment the malt sugars that create most of a beer’s alcohol, but it still develops the delicate flavors, esters, and body that make beer taste authentic. The result is a fermentation that feels traditional, but stays naturally non-alcoholic from the very beginning.

  4. Conditioning & Maturation

    Conditioning & Maturation

    Just like any finely made beer, time is essential. We give our beers space to condition and mature, allowing flavors to round out and harmonize. The result is a smooth, complete drinking experience.

    Finally, our beers are packaged cold and fresh, preserving every bit of the flavor we’ve worked so hard to craft.
